All vitrectomies are performed via small 1mm incisions  (23, 25 and 27 gauge) under local anesthesia. Patients are discharged from the hospital 2 hours after the procedure. We were the first in the region, administering  intraocular injections of Avastin in 2005  starting with intraocular anti-VEGF therapy at the same time as our colleagues in the United States. Today we are adimistering all available intraocular injections including : Eylea and Ozurdex. Aslo we are participating in a multicenter US led Optochech Clinicar Trial for Fovista a new intraocular injection in therapy of Age-related Macular Degeneration.

We are the only eye center in Croatia and among the few in the world to use Swept Source OCT and OCT angiography

We use Swept Source OCT (100 000 scans per minute) in diagnosis of diseases of the macula, We also use Pascal laser fotocoagulator in treatemtn of diabetic retinopathy, which is faster and less painful. We have  a 12 megapixel angiographic and autoflorescent wide-angle camera. We work with the world's leading retinal surgeons, Carl Claes from Belgium, Zoran Tomić from Sweden and Lyndon da Cruz from the UK.
