University Eye Clinic Svjetlost has received the prestigious Johnson & Johnson status
Johnson & Johnson Vision, has given an award to the Svjetlost Eye Clinic a prestigious status - Center of Education in the field of ophthalmology.
A global leader in the pharmaceutical industry, the world's prime ophthalmology company Johnson & Johnson Vision, has given an award to the Svjetlost Eye Clinic a prestigious status - Center of Education in the field of ophthalmology with special emphasis on refractive surgery, premium intraocular lenses and the most modern devices in the world of ophthalmology.This is a continuance of the long-term cooperation of the Svjetlost Eye Clinic with leading companies in the field of development of new innovative procedures and products in ophthalmology, but also a proof of excellence given to the Svjetlost and the entire team led by founder Professor Nikica Gabrić, PhD, MD.
Svjetlost Eye Clinic has been recognized as a world leader in ophthalmology, who worked for Johnson & Johnson Vision in development and test trials for the newest and most innovative products such as Symfony intraocular lenses, Catalys laser for cataract surgery, and Synergy the latest generation of intraocular lenses, in regards to which Svjetlost received the prestigious certificate as the number 1 center of excellence in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa). Svjetlost was also the training ground for the World Premiere of Synergy Toric II lenses. In the pandemic era, 9 surgical procedures have been presented live from Zagreb to the world to over 2000 ophthalmologists.
With the granting of the status of the Center for Education for the Johnson & Johnson Vision, a mutual project of sending European and World ophthalmologists for education in Zagreb to acquire knowledge and skills in the application of new technologies has begun.
Doctors of Svjetlost Eye Clinic, active participants in European and world congresses, are about to have invited to lectures at the American Congress of Refractive Surgery and Cataract Surgery in Las Vegas this year, where they will present the results of Synergy lenses to colleagues from the USA. To present the latest results of the development of the innovative laser of the German company Schwind and at the European Congress of Cataract Surgery and Refractive Surgery 3 doctors from the Svjetlost are invited, lecturers.
Since 1998, Svjetlost has been the leading ophthalmological institution in the region, and with performances and awards, it has rightly ranked among the top in the world of ophthalmology.
Today, University Eye Hospital Svjetlost employs has 70 ophthalmologists and 150 members of the medical team, who care for more than 500 patients a day at 6 locations: Zagreb, Split, Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Budva, and Skopje.
